Chad
Chad, a country neighboring Sudan and strongly influenced by Arab-Islamic culture, was also touched by the expansion of the Tijaniyya path. In several regions of the country, the population maintains a strong attachment to Islamic spirituality and Sufi traditions.
Within this religious environment, the Tijaniyya spread naturally and was embraced by many communities accustomed to dhikr and devotional practices.
