The erudite Sidi Ahmed Skiredj benefited from the instruction of an elite group of scholars at Qarawiyyin, including Abdullah al-Badrawi, Abdulmalik al-‘Alawi, and Al-Habib al-Dawudi. A remarkably prolific scholar, he authored more than 200 works in various scientific fields, reflecting his deep passion for books and research.

The distinguished Skiredj held numerous judicial and administrative positions, serving as supervisor of religious endowments (habous) in Fez al-Jadid, judge of Oujda, member of the Supreme Court in Rabat, judge of El Jadida, and finally judge of Settat, where he served until his death in 1363 AH (1944).

He was, may God have mercy on him, a model of piety and dedication in Fez and in every city he resided in. He was marked by his devotion, knowledge, humility, and gratitude, avoiding all forms of arrogance or ostentation. He possessed a high level of piety and integrity, enjoining good and forbidding evil, often correcting wrongs himself. He had a gentle spirit, a pleasant conversation, a refined sense of humor, and concealed his pain behind a smile. His illness (diabetes) never prevented him from serving his religion, his generation, and the people of his country.
