Ana ƙirga littafin Taskar Lahira a matsayin dīwān daga dīwāni na babban malami, alƙali, kuma adibi, Sayyid Aḥmad bn al-ʿIyāshī Sukayrij; kuma yana wakiltar shafi mai fice daga zurfin kulawarsa da yabo na Annabi mai girma, da abin da ya shafi hakan na kawo tarihin sīra a rai, da yin ishara ga muʿujizai, da kuma bayyana ƙaunar Muḥammadiyya cikin ingantaccen salo na waƙa. Abubuwan da ke cikin littafin suna tona asirin wani mawaƙi da ya narke cikin wannan fanni, yana tasiri daga manyan jagororinsa kamar al-Būṣīrī da Ibn al-Fāriḍ, tare da kiyaye muryarsa ta musamman a cikin wannan faɗin adabi da ruhi.
Dīwān ɗin ya ƙunshi qasidu saba’in, jimillar baitocinsa 1016 bait, kuma wannan gini na adadi abin nufi ne a tunanin mai nazm, kamar yadda ya bayyana daga kulawarsa da lambobi masu ma’ana ta alama. Haka kuma dīwān ɗin ya bambanta da yalwar nau’o’in ʿarūḍ; domin marubucin ya yi amfani da bahurai bakwai na waƙar Larabci, inda dogon bahr (aṭ-ṭawīl) da basīṭ da kāmil suka fi gaba, sai khafīf da wāfir da raml da mutaqārib—abin da ke ba dīwān ɗin wadatar sauti da ƙayatarwar ƙira ta auna. Wannan bambance-bambancen na bahurai kuma yana fuskantar bambance-bambance a qafiyoyi; an yi amfani da qafiya goma sha biyar, tare da rinjaye a bayyane na qafiyar nūn, sa’an nan bā’ da lām; kuma wannan yana bayyana cikakken ƙwaƙƙwaran ji na fasaha wajen gina qasida da tsara ƙarar muryarta.
Dīwān ɗin nan ba ya tsaya ga iyakar sana’ar waƙa kaɗai; sai dai ya buɗe zuwa duniyar sīrar Annabi da abin da take ɗauke da shi na abubuwan da suka faru, da ma’anoni, da ishara; sai ya mai da yabon Annabi wata hanya ta yin tunani, da girmamawa, da tarbiyya a kan ƙaunar Annabi صلى الله عليه وسلم, da koyi da shi. Don haka ba wai tara waƙoƙi ne masu warwatse kawai ba; a’a, dīwān ne mai bayyananniyar haɗin jigo, yana shiga cikin adabin Musulunci na gargajiya, kuma yana nuna wani muhimmin ɓangare na spiritual heritage da ya shafi yabon Annabi a muhallin Maroko da na Ṭijāniyya.
Muhimmancin wannan dīwān yana ƙaruwa da abin da ya zo a cikin binciken da aka haɗa na fayyace lokacin nazm ɗinsa; domin marubucin ya fara rubuta qasidunsa a shekarar 1339H/1920M, sannan ya kammala su a matakai biyu a lokacin da yake rike da aikin alƙalanci a birnin Wajda. Wannan bayani yana ƙara wa littafin kimar tabbatar da tarihi ma, ta fuskar dangantakarsa kai-tsaye da tafiyar marubucin ta ilimi da aiki, da kuma yanayin da ya kewaye samarwarsa ta adabi a wancan zamani.
Saboda haka, Taskar Lahira littafi ne da ya dace ga masu karatu da masu bincike masu sha’awar yabon Annabi, da waƙar Larabci ta gargajiya, da rubuce-rubucen Sayyid Aḥmad Sukayrij; haka kuma yana amfanar da nazarin yadda ƙaunar Muḥammadiyya ta bayyana a cikin gadon Ṭijāniyya, da kuma bin diddigin alaƙar da ke tsakanin waƙa, ibada, da motsin zuciya a Moroccan Sufism da classical Islamic literature.
